Water is one of the basic human necessities, to drink and irrigate, but it can be so much more to. the people that dare to look beneath the surface.
I grew up with my feet in the water of the Payette river. With my family owning and running Cascade Raft Company, it was hard not to love the thrill of whitewater and sharing the incredible power of the river system.
I have Kayaked all sections of the Payette, up the the class V rapids of the North Fork. I have also traveled to Pucon, Chile to navigate the rivers there. My time in Pucon has given me the exposer to learn and become fluent in Spanish and appreciate a culture other than the United States.

At Cascade I have been a guide and manager. As a Raft guide, I was responsible for navigating the river, keeping my guests safe, and ensuring a good time for all. This included communicating with other guides, giving safety briefing to large groups of people, and connecting personally with the guests from all walks of life. I have connected with my love for nature and my excitement for sharing it with others, learned communication with guests and team members, prioritized safety without compromising the trip experience, and public speaking skills.
As a manager I was responsible for directing guides and guests, checking guests in and ensuring they were prepared for their adventure, and loading buses and making sure the correct guests and number of guests were accounted for. I have learned group management, organization, and leadership and direction of team members.

Through out my life my love for whitewater, adventure, and nature will hold a part of my soul.
